Maintenance as well as Patience.

Sean Whelan Guitarist

While we hope that our time is mostly about making music it is also important to maintain the equipment that we use to capture that music.

Even running a small home studio will require some level of how computers work in music production, apart from constant software updates it is important to look after the hardware,Internal Fans that cool drives and power supply can get clogged up with dust and to keep temperatures at optimal and quiet performance, require cleaning.

Of course using a Desktop machine will allow more accessibility to upgrading and access to the internal hardware,a laptop will have much more limited options.

Hopefully with regular maintenance and care your gear will allow you to get on with making music without interference but here's a question, where does dust come from?
